Problem
When you click to activate an Abacast-enabled stream the Abacast icon appears briefly in the task tray and then disappears, or nothing happens at all.

Solution
Abaclient 1.44 and above log all connection errors. This is the first place to check for possible reasons why you are unable to connect. To view the contents of the log follow the steps below:
  1. Click Start
  2. Choose Search
  3. Select Files or Folders
  4. Type in "AbacastClient.log" (without the quotes) as the Filename
  5. Click the Search button
  6. Once Windows locates the AbacastClient.log on your hard drive, open it to view the contents
note: You may need to choose "search hidden files and folders" under the More Advanced Options. Older versions of the Abacast Client may write ErrorLog.log. If you don't find any results for AbacastClient.log try searching for ErrorLog.log instead. If you don't find a resolution to the error(s) listed in the AbacastClient.log or ErrorLog.log in our knowledgebase, submit a support ticket to our staff being sure to copy and paste the contents of the log and we'd be happy to assist you.
