Problem
When you attempt to connect to an Abacast Stream in Firefox you are prompted to install the Abacast Client.

Solution
Abacast just recently added support for Firefox Browsers. When you click a link to launch a stream you may be notified that you need to install the free Abacast streaming media plugin. Follow the steps below to ensure the Abacast Client is properly installed:

1) Click OK on the dialog describing what the Abacast streaming media plugin does
2) Firefox may then pop-up a warning (below the address bar) telling you it blocked a pop-up window, you will need to allow this pop-up in order to install the Abacast Client. To allow the pop-up click on the warning and click the "Allow popups for...". If you don't receive a pop-up alert skip to step (3).
3) The next prompt will show "Opening ns_abasetup.exe". Make sure Save to Disk is selected and click OK to begin downloading the Abacast streaming media plugin.
4) If it's not already, open the Firefox Download manager by going to the Tools menu -> Downloads. In the Download manager locate ns_abasetup.exe and click Open next to it to install the Abacast Client. You may receive a warning saying "ns_abasetup.exe" is an executable file. Executable files may contain viruses or other malicious code....". The Abacast Client is always scanned for the latest virus threats and contains no spyware. Choose OK to ignore this message and install the Abacast Client.
5) After the Wise Install wizard runs the Abacast Client should load and launch Windows Media Player. If it doesn't try clicking the link to launch the stream again.
6) If you're still unable to connect please open a support ticket and we'll assist you to the best of our ability.
